Blazin BBQ’s Andy Annat’s Sunday Times BBQ Review

Multi award winning Blazing BBQ’s founder and head-chef Andy Annat wrote a great BBQ equipment review in the Saunday Times last weekend. He compared five units including the Weber One-Touch, BarbeSkew, Louisiana Grills Country Smoker, ProQ Frontier and a B&Q Laguna.

Dr Sweetsmoke heading for Grillstock

Dr. Sweetsmoke has a one of a kind custom built mobile bbq pit which he’ll be bringing to Grillstock. Known as “the meat beast”, this cooker gently roasts using natural charcoal and hardwoods for that real southern style pit bar-b-que flavour. He’s going to make tough competition as he currently holds several titles including British BBQ Championship Grand Champion.

“We slowly cook our meat using the best hardwoods that we personally import from America. These include: pecan, white oak, apple, sugar maple, pear, cherry & hickory.

International Award Winning ‘Blazing Barbecues’ Team to Compete at Grillstock

We’re delighted to welcome the Blazing Barbecues Team from North Yorkshire into the King of the Grill competition at the 2010 Grillstock Festival.

These guys have competed all over the world and pitched their pit-skills against the very best. A highlight being 2nd place at last year’s US World Championship BBQ finals in the US for their innovative barbecued Yorkshire Puddings!! As well as running a pro-BBQ team, these guys will provide BBQ for any special event you have in mind. HRH The Queen booked them for her 3000 guests at Balmoral for her 80th birthday party even!

Blazing Barbecues are proud to have won over 40 industry awards ranging from three times National BBQ Product Champion, Britain’s Best BBQ’er, IOM Catering Innovations Winner, NACB Catering Meat Champion, multi BPEX Gold Product Awards and World Championship BBQ Finalists.

The guys at Bristol’s Cowshed Bar and Grill certainly know a thing or two about searing a steak. Their restaurant on Whiteladies Road is a meat-eater’s delight and their chunky chips are out of this world.
