The future looks tasty for this East London family…

Mr Singh’s Chili Sauce

“Back in 1985, clattering around in a cluttered East End kitchen, Mr Singh stirred up his first batch of special chilli sauce for his fiery family. Inspired by the bustle and buzz of London & the deep flavours of his spiritual home in the Punjab, Popa Singh’s signature sauce soon became the talk of dinner tables from Manor Park to Mayfair. Whatever the dish, a drop or two of his cherished chilli creation is guaranteed to kick-start tastebuds & get people doing what the Singh family loves best, having fun by “Bringing people together”.

In 1985, Popa Singh had a dream he would have a future where his wife and children enjoyed life to the full. He dreamt they did not have to go through the normal 9-5 of life but own a family business where there was a constant sense of love, fun and happiness.

He embarked on a journey and created a sauce he deemed to be perfect in every way.
25 years later his dream started to come true thanks to his love of chilli and a finely honed palette

This year, not only can you taste Mr Singhs highly acclaimed Chilli Sauce, but also available will be Mr Singhs delicious Punjabi Pesto – a spicy mix packed full of flavour, just like Mama makes!

Catch Mr Singh himself from 12.20 on the Saturday in the BBQ Academy, demonstrating how to cook traditional Punjabi BBQ food.

The future is looking very tasty indeed!

Jimmy’s Iced Coffee

Ladies and Gentlemen!!!

We would like to inform you that Jimmy’s, the most wonderfully refreshing Iced Coffee is here, in our United Kingdom.  Born from inspiration during a trip down under, Jimmy and his sister Suzie are here to give you the proper Iced Coffee you deserve.  Gone are the days of syrup, more syrup, a billion ice cubes and synthetic sugar in a plastic cup, Jimmy’s is an experience in itself.  Nostalgic packaging, massively talked about design and 5 natural ingredients make up a Jimmy’s Iced Coffee. These ingredients are:  English milk (they’re the only ‘off the shelf’ iced coffee company to do this), ethically sourced Central American coffee, ethically sourced demerara sugar, water and a natural thickener called carrageenan.  That’s it.

Since launching in April at Selfridges (oh, how posh!), Jimmy has been spreading the Iced Coffee word far and wide.  Mums, dads, surfers, commuters, snake charmers, egg rollers, students and BBQ fanatics are all getting their paws on it and love the living daylights out of their cartoned gold.  There are two varieties, ORIGINAL (with semi-skimmed milk) and SKINNY LOVE (with skimmed milk) and it doesn’t stop there.  This year at GrillStock, they will be serving ‘THE DUDE’ aka: the best White Russian in town! So, come down, grab a rib and have a sip on the good stuff.  Keep Your Chin Up!

The Bath Pig

Some men have football. Some have cars.  Mash Chiles and Tim French had an airing cupboard full of meat…..

What began as a jovial competition to present dinner party guests with the ‘best’ chorizo, soon found them buying free range pork from a local farmer and attempting to create their own perfect specimen. After a year of long suffering wives giving up their towel storage for a curing room and spending holidays visiting remote Andalusian pig farms, the Bath Pig Company was born.

The company now produce up to 4 tons of chorizo a month and have just been cited in The Independent as one of Mark Hix’s ‘Sustainable Food Hero’s’, assuring them a place in many quality restaurants, and recently least of all Raymond Blanc’s 2 Michelin starred Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons.

Their chorizo comes in 3 flavours (Original, Spicy and Garlic & Herb) and can be found in quality food outlets across the UK also from www.thebathpig.com where there are some fantastic recipe ideas.  Look out for their new snack pack of mini-chorizo available in the summer.

The Bath Pig will be at Grillstock selling their fabulous chorizo as well as serving it cooked!!!
